Adobe’s ubiquitous Photoshop photo-editing tool has long been the choice of professional graphic designers and picture editors. Its power and sophistication has never really been matched although I wouldn’t deny there are some very competent (and cheaper) alternatives available.
One website, worth1000.com, is a community of talented Photoshop users who regularly respond to ‘contests’ on a variety often unusual – even quite eccentric – topics.
The following pictures are from one contest in particular entitled ‘Plantimals’. The third in a series, the brief is simple. “Merge any form of plant life with any living, breathing animal”.
The results are intriguing and, in many cases, appear quite ‘edgy’. They are also testimony to some very strong photo-editing skills on the part of the contestants.
But what do you think of the images? Let us know.
