Vista was a poor product although SP2 improved it a lot and is very close to Windows 7 (no sidebar, better performance) but Windows 7 is way ahead of Vista despite the cosmetic similarities For all Apples bashing at the WWDC I could never see them releasing a public beta or release candidate of their next OS.
