Smug? This is pretty tame advert..... Apple could pull out massive guns and blas Vista off the horizon if they wanted.... they are spot on when it comes to the colossal botch called Vista.

Copysoft "microsoft" should have expected this.

I think they are just funny. I like to be entertained and I find these adds one of the very few that do that for me on a regular basis. SMUG!?! Perhaps but coming from the days of "We have like a 98% Market Share and Apple is dead" environment I can't say that I don't recall the ole saying "Turn about is fair play" ha!

Seriously you've had that many problems with the MacBook Pro? I just don't get it? I've setup like 20 Pro's and 5 MacBooks here at work and we've yet to have a problem. Heck some of the earlier models were the Core Duo not Core 2 Duo's and those were known to have heat issues and with the exception of a set of ram that caused a heat issue in a MacBook Pro once the memory was replaced no problems so far and these are used by sales people on the road they get a rough treatment.

Yes, first one was a battery problem - it expanded my casing - then the hard disk went. Second one - the latch was iffy from the start and the battery also had to be replaced.

Previously had a 17" G4 - don't even get me started on that one!! - broken casing, replacement hard disk, DVD drive... then the sound went and keyboard needed replacing. Style over efficiency.

At the end of the day, these are work machines and they need to, well, work.

It's only SMUG to certain people. Answer yes to 2 or more of the following questions, and you are one of them:
1. Have you ever owned or wanted a "MacSux" T-Shirt?
2. Do you patrol the internet every day looking for bad news about Apple? Do you post "hater" comments at Mac sites?
3. Have you ever played a multiplayer online game?
4. Have you ever been to a LAN party?
5. Do you own an XBox 360 or a Zune?
6. Are you now or planning to be an MSCE?
7. Did you, or will you cheat on your MSCE test?
8. Is Steve Jobs an A**hole?
9. Should Bill Gates be the ruler of Planet Earth?

Apple lovers are amazing. I have been an Apple fan since my first Mac SE, with it's 2mb of ram and 20mb hard disk and I do love what they do.

That said, I NEED any kit I have to work, especially when I am paying £1500 for a laptop compared to a PC £400 cost.

As for the campaign. Yes, it is good. Well it was. It has just being run ragged and it's become boring and counter productive in my opinion.

BTW - I'm having a LAN party round my house next week to play on my X-box if anyone fancies it?
