This Week At The Escape

We’ve working on a really big project this week for Aquivo, which will see us present our “brand vision” on Monday. It’s all rearing to go and we have had a real fun “team effort” kinda week pulling it all together.

That said, we have another large’n’ next month with a new client – Transactor, so these skills are multiplyin’… it’s electrofyin’.

We delivered a funky new design for The Link this week – an internal staff magazine for Simplyhealth Group and got some great feedback from our client.

On the non-work side of things, we are currently getting battered by rain and Basingstoke is at a standstill. This ‘British Summer’ has not helped the preparations of intrepid two (Rob and Craig) who set out next Wednesday for the London-To-Paris cycle-ride. But, they have been attracting column inches (they need all the inches they can get I hear). Rob has been practicing like Lance Armstrong though…

Been doing my final preparation for our London to Paris (weather permitting of course). I’m a tad anxious about it but fairly confident. I cycled back from Brixton last Saturday with a hangover from hell, didn’t leave Soho House until 2.30am and was on the bike at 8am, first lay-by came in very handy though, say no more. ;0)

Peace and good will to all… well, that’s the general theory this time of year isn’t it? Unfortunately, no one passed this message to the ‘troops’ in the studio at Escape Towers this year. Downtown Basra eat your heart out. There we’re no car bombs (we just couldn’t do it to our lego creations) but [...]

For a number of years we’ve been supporting a local business awards scheme, the INSPIRE Business Awards, which are organised by one of our lovely clients, Destination Basingstoke.  This year was no exception, and a few weeks ago saw the culmination of a year of hard work from all at ‘DB’, as the awards evening [...]

  • New stuff: Honeywell F124 banner

Its very early days, but we’ve started working with Honeywell. They’re based here in Basingstoke so our local-ness (pretty sure that’s not even a word!) is helpful when there’s a tight deadline to hit. This was the case with our first project for them, a pretty straightforward roller banner design for a show they were [...]

Back in July I posted about our involvement with Breast Cancer Care and our charitable creative donation to help them out with the look and feel for their annual fundraiser… The Fashion Show. Time fly’s when you’re having fun and although (at the time) October seemed a million miles away, it soon came around, culminating [...]
