This Week At The Escape

See that logo above the stage – that’s us that is.

Basingstoke Live 2007

Basingstoke Live is happening this weekend so a lot of our efforts have been geared towards making sure “Tent Tropicana” is bouncing on Sunday as we hit the event with family, friends and clients. If you are local, why noy look for us? We’ll be on the floor no doubt – dancefloor that is, showing those youngsters a thing or two. Pray for sunshine baby, pray for sunshine!

Rob said that Simon’s speech at the launch event on Monday actually brought a tear to his eye (it was a great speech). Or, it may have been the cost of his round that did it, we’re not sure exactly – it could go either way.

Louise took part in the Boomerang workshop with Craig, Keith, Gary and four customers and was interested to find out what they actually want from our e-commerce product as we start to develop version 3. We also shared shared our experiences and successes, which was a valuable experience all round.

Gary amazed us all this morning with some great additions to our database, making it so much easier to find even more data – very, very quickly.

Andy kicked started a bit of a revolution this week (we may even nick-name him Red Andy) in the way we create our creative. We think you’ll love it – we certainly do and we are sure to share more as we develop our plans – ( imagine a James Bond villain and read that last sentence again).

The new Link magazine came in, went out and went down a storm for Simply Health Group. I love it when a plan comes together (said lighting a fat cigar with a huge grin).

Jo also presented new magazine concepts to L&Q. Simon went to the pitch as well but it was Jo’s show – “watch and learn old man” was heard escaping her lips as she sat down.

So, with a fun weekend ahead – and our logo all around our home town the overwhelming feeling this afternoon is pride in our little design company.

Peace and good will to all… well, that’s the general theory this time of year isn’t it? Unfortunately, no one passed this message to the ‘troops’ in the studio at Escape Towers this year. Downtown Basra eat your heart out. There we’re no car bombs (we just couldn’t do it to our lego creations) but [...]

For a number of years we’ve been supporting a local business awards scheme, the INSPIRE Business Awards, which are organised by one of our lovely clients, Destination Basingstoke.  This year was no exception, and a few weeks ago saw the culmination of a year of hard work from all at ‘DB’, as the awards evening [...]

  • New stuff: Honeywell F124 banner

Its very early days, but we’ve started working with Honeywell. They’re based here in Basingstoke so our local-ness (pretty sure that’s not even a word!) is helpful when there’s a tight deadline to hit. This was the case with our first project for them, a pretty straightforward roller banner design for a show they were [...]

Back in July I posted about our involvement with Breast Cancer Care and our charitable creative donation to help them out with the look and feel for their annual fundraiser… The Fashion Show. Time fly’s when you’re having fun and although (at the time) October seemed a million miles away, it soon came around, culminating [...]
