Web Ad spend Overtakes Press Ad Spend
Online advertising spending has jumped 41.2% to £2.01bn during 2006, a report by the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers says today (BBC).
This see web advertising overtaking newspaper ads for the first time.
Despite online advertising taking an 11.4% market share of all advertising spend, it was still just over half that for TV advertising.
During 2006 however, TV advertising spend fell 4.7% to £3.9bn.
Is this the start of the internet taking over as the mainstream advertising Channel?
