Here’s another fantastic tool from Google - News Archive Search.

This new addition to the already popular Google News tool allows you access to over 200 years of news articles from a huge selection of publications from across the world.

The system works just like the normal Google search but with the added feature of filtering the results by date and publication.  There is also a function that allows you to see results in a timeline.

Some of the results generated can be a bit questionable, but for the most part this is another really useful research tool from the worlds favourite search engine.
