Welcome to the Escape Blog

I moved into a new house with my family back in September 05 and this is how far we have got with the garden.

There was massive sense of achievement when we finally managed to get it to a tidy state. There is so much more to do but we spent a good few weekends chopping things down, pruning and weeding; as well as planting fresh new seasonal plants.

It was great to sit on the patio and admire our handy work over a nice glass of red.

Short Lived

The problem is, weeds keep growing. Some of the pretty plants have turned a little ugly and out of control. Hence, the need to keep on weeding. It is going to be a never ending task to keep it looking beautiful so we can sit back and admire it for what it is (our little sanctuary).

It is a picture we have seen a lot recently with web sites. You create a great new web site with fantastic content and highly optimised and the traffic increases in all the right places. But, soon enough it starts to tail off… A little tinkering and refreshing and it pops-up again.
